Founded in 2007 by a local Calgary mompreneur, the Von Premium Childcare Network evolved as to help parents cope with the lack of available quality childcare in Calgary. Developed by a local Calgary mompreneur in 2007 as a program where she would want to have her own children, our programs are centered with warmthand a well thought out early learning program.

The founding partners in Von launched the program in 2007 after meeting and discussing the parent community’s needs with City Aldermen, Provincial Regulators, parents & educators in order to ensure the development of an innovative model which adhered to all provincial and municipal guidelines, while offering something of true value to parents. The program needed to be local and delivered in a home environment. It needed to offer reliable childcare. It needed a transparent, nutritious meal plan. Flexibility would also be key because so many parents work part time. It would require a dayhome care provider with a genuine desire and track record for working with children. The program would deliver a well thought out, age appropriate curriculum! Childcare space would be stimulating with plenty of natural light in a child centric ‘can’ environment. Exercise and regular outside time would be key to keeping children active. And finally, no reliance on television! And so, with all this integrated into the childcare model, the Von Premium Childcare program philosophy & approach came to be!

 

The underlying philosophy behind the Von approach can be summed up in the phrase “it takes a village to raise a child”. Our endorsed providers create a small group environment where children can learn to do new things and associate with interesting adults that truly care about them. To this end, the Von Network has attracted some of the childcare industry’s best partners who share this philosophy. Each member of the provider team is experienced, professional, and committed to making children's development and socialization a top priority and their only concern during the day. Von endorsed providers interact with children! So there's really no time for TV in a Von endorsed dayhome!
