The Von Curriculum

All Von Network programs offer a world-class curriulum designed especially for us!

 

The proprietary curriculum used by all endorsed Von Premium Childcare Network Dayhomes was first written and developed by Ms. Margaret Smith of England.  It is topic-based and allows children to experience integrated learning opportunities, without the use of television, in order to have fun while learning. The style of the curriculum is similar to the high standard of the British education system.

 

We firmly believe in a curriculum that reflects the interests of the children in order to ensure that they are motivated to learn and get the most out of their experiences and opportunities. The activities followed are designed to be done in the order given or switched around to enable children’s interests to be pursued. But the curriculum also allows providers to improvize and adapt activities to suit different situations and ages. The ability and confidence to adapt the curriculum is vital to ensure that all ages of children being cared for can make the most of their learning throughout their day home or cared for days.

 

The curriculum integrates Maths, Science, Art, Physicial Activity, Music and Language.  Importantly, the curriculum also is suited for both the Infant / Todddler programs as well as Pre-School.

 

There is a topic for each month of the year, and each month follows the same format, with a different topic emphasis for each week.  Below is an example of our monthly topics:
